Group A standings

Mexico Fixtures

Mexico begin the tournament at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, giving them the strongest possible home start and the most atmospheric opening match of the host nations.

Mexico Group Outlook

Mexico’s route runs through South Africa, South Korea and Czechia, and the opener against South Africa is the match they will want to control early. South Korea’s speed and Czechia’s organisation make the group more awkward than it first looks, so Mexico need home momentum and at least one result against the European or Asian challengers to protect a top-two finish.

Group Matches

Possible Knockout Path

Mexico are currently shown as Group A leaders in the current group table.

If they finish first, this is the official Round of 32 slot attached to the group winner.
